Over Eighty Years of Continuous Quality and Fine Service

Jefferson Southeast-20130404-01609In 1930 my father, Paul C. Schumann, began restoring and refinishing fine antiques in his garage. His clientele included friends and neighbors. The business grew quickly, enabling him to hire additional craftsmen and move the business to a small shop in downtown Louisville. It was here that my father mastered his craft, acquiring and offering for sale exceptional antiques and accessories.

Over eighty years later, Schumann Antiques continues to provide an elegant collection of fine antiques. We have kept the same values upon which my father built his reputation of quality and fine service. In 1957 we moved the showrooms to our present location, a former trolley booster station built in the 1880s. Our two stories of showrooms feature a prestigious collection of exceptional Kentucky-Tennessee, American and European antiques furniture, country/primitives, paintings, clocks, chandeliers, lamps, accessories, cut crystal, silver, porcelain and ceramics.

paul-schumannWe hope you share our appreciation for fine antiques — their warmth, beauty and superb craftsmanship — and encourage you to visit Schumann Antiques to view the finest in Kentucky.
